Veterinarians

Dr. Jess Jeffrey
Veterinarian
Dr. Jess Jeffrey graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2001 and completed his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Jeffrey joined the practice as an associate in 2007 and took over ownership in 2010. He resides in Montgomery County with his wife, Catherine, and two children, Lucas and Lillian. Dr. Jeffrey’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and preventative care. Dr. Jeffrey feels very strongly about giving back to the community that supports FM 1488 Animal Medical Center. As a result, our clinic is now able to donate veterinary services to nine of our area first responder departments and their working K9’s. Dr. Jeffrey is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
While not at work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing and attending Aggie Football games in the fall. Furry members of the Jeffrey family include the dogs, Ace and Abby, and the cats Buddy, Hannah and Savannah.

Dr. Stephanie Zeisloft
Veterinarian
Dr. Stephanie Zeisloft graduated from Texas A&M in 2001 with a B.S. in Zoology, and again in 2005 with her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zeisloft joined the practice as a Veterinary Associate in 2015. Dr. Z's professional interests include preventative and internal medicine. She especially enjoys working with geriatric patients and cats. Dr. Z is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Zeisloft lives with her husband Chris, her daughter Audrey, and as many pets as her husband will allow. Currently, the family includes Lola a rescue dog, Duke another rescue dog, and Emmitt the cat. In her spare time, Dr. Z loves reading, traveling and fishing when time allows.

Dr. Wendy Green, DABVP, CCAT
Veterinarian
Dr. Green earned her BA in Biology from Wesleyan College in Georgia in 1996 and achieved her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2000. In 2014, she obtained her board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (canine and feline practice). Dr. Green joined the practice as a Veterinary Associate in 2018. Dr. Green’s professional interests include Internal Medicine, Dentistry, and Rehabilitation. While working with us, Dr. Green has obtained certification in companion animal rehabilitation and started a companion animal rehabilitation program here at FM 1488 AMC. Dr. Green is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Dr. Green and her husband enjoy the peaceful country life and reside near Navasota with her cats, Handsome Rob & Sienna, their dog Hazel, and four loveable horses. When she is not at the clinic, Dr. Green enjoys riding dressage with her horses, reading, hiking and traveling.

Dr. Kaylee Darty
Veterinarian
Dr. Kaylee Darty graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at St. George's University.
Dr. Darty joined the practice as a Veterinary Associate in 2026. Dr. Darty's professional interests are surgery, both soft tissue and orthopedic, and behavioral medicine. Dr. Darty is both a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Darty was drawn to Veterinary Medicine because the profession would afford her the opportunity to advocate for patients that can not speak for themselves. It is important to Dr. Darty that she have a career that makes a positive difference to both clients and the pets they love.
Dr. Darty resides in Spring with her husband, who is also a Veterinarian, and their menagerie of pets. Ari, Raya, Tango & Yukon (the dogs) along with their sidekick, Donkey (the cat).

Lauri Brown, CVPM
Practice Manager
Lauri Brown joined the practice in 2014 as a Veterinary Assistant. While working here full time she obtained her CVA I Certification and her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University. In the fall of 2017, Lauri moved to the front of the clinic and began leading the day to day operations of our Customer Service Representatives. In March of 2021, she was promoted to our Practice Manager. As the Practice Manager, she has found a professional passion for contributing to the next generation of Veterinary Professionals and paraprofessionals. As a result, FM 1488 Animal Medical Center has an internal paraprofessional development program, sits on two advisory boards for area academic Veterinary Technology programs, serves as an internship site for several of our Montgomery County FFA Certified Veterinary Assistant programs, is a Practice Partner to the SAVMA club at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, and is an externship site to both TAMU CVM and Texas Tech CVM DVM students. Lauri is an active member of the Houston Veterinary Practice Managers Alliance and the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
